Monster Tracks
Description
Monster Tracks, developed by Martin Magni, is a thrilling driving game featured in Battle mode. In contrast to typical hill climb games, this game restricts aerial movement to a single direction, so you must be cautious about the amount of power you apply before jumping.
Be mindful of the monster truck’s tendency to arch backwards, particularly at the start, if you apply too much power. Maintaining a slight backwards tilt is usually advisable, as most obstacles will push you forwards.
In later stages, slower is frequently better, but some obstacles, particularly ramps, require high speed. Remember that you can reverse to a small degree, allowing for a run-up and an increase in speed.
The game will end if you fall into a body of water, collide with the ground or obstacles, or become stranded on an obstacle and attempt to accelerate or reverse, resulting in the monster truck smoking and exploding.
Obstacles:
- The Spline Bridge obstacle provides an easy route to cross bodies of water without the risk of drowning. However, the bridge can buckle under the weight of your monster truck at high speeds and cause it to flip forwards.
- Pebbles are small rock cubes scattered throughout the course that can be dangerous if approached with high velocity or at steep inclines or declines.
- Tree logs scattered across the course can prove challenging to navigate at steep inclines or declines.
- The Cube obstacle is a rotating cube in a body of water that can drown you if approached at low speeds due to gaps in front of and behind it.
- The Hollow Ramp is a wooden ramp over grass with varying inclinations that can be challenging, especially in steep descents.
- The Windmill is a rotating structure that can be moderately drownable, with the rear end becoming more challenging in hilly terrain. You must move to the adjacent windmill blade to avoid collision.
- The Ramp obstacle requires you to jump over a body of water and comes with varying inclinations, making it a risky obstacle.
- As the terrain becomes more hilly and rugged, it becomes easier to flip or get stuck, making other obstacles even more challenging.
Shop System:
- The Shop System offers upgrades to your monster truck. Power upgrades increase speed and torque, Grip upgrades improve drivertrain for better acceleration, and Weight upgrades reduce weight for increased maneuverability in the air. Upgrades start at 10 coins and double until the final upgrade of 5120 coins.
